Australian Consumer Law Update

Updated Australian Consumer Law (ACL) effective as of the 1st of January 2012

Austcrown P/L has taken all reasonable steps to convey the mandatory text and information to consumers as specified by the ACL 
for all products supplied post 1st of January 2012. There may be some goods in the supply chain supplied pre January 2012 where 
the new compliant warranty isn’t included in the product, this may also be due to the nature of the packaging of those products. 

Please note that the following Warranty Card statement takes precedence over the warranty card that may be included with goods that have been supplied.

Austcrown Warranty Card Statement as of 01 January 2012

We hereby warrant that the above appliance is free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. and will repair or replace at our option at our designated service points without charge within ONE YEAR from the date of purchase any part or parts which in our judgment shall be a manufacturing defect. This certificate and the relevant invoice must be presented for any warranty claim.

This warranty becomes void if the appliance has been misused or tampered with or converted to a different gas type. To validate this warranty the attached registration form must be completed and returned to us within 20 days from the date of purchase.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for the compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

All costs with returning the goods is the responsibility of the purchaser as under the Australian Consumer Law.We recommend registering and taking transit insurance on your returned goods, as we cannot be responsible for the goods until it is signed and received into our designated service point.
